        Detailed Description

Departing Auckland on the 1pm ferry from Downtown Auckland where you will be greeted on the Waiheke wharf by Ananda Tours.

The tour will commence with a drive along the scenic northern route, taking in spectacular views of the Hauraki Gulf and beyond to the Coromandel Peninsula. The first stop is for a tasting and casual lunch at a local vineyard. If time allows, after lunch head towards Onetangi, a 1.87-kilometre long, north-facing beach with beautiful old Pohutukawa trees on the foreshore. For many years it has been the site of the Onetangi Beach Races. Depart Onetangi for the second vineyard for wine tasting. The final stop is at a picturesque vineyard overlooking the Hauraki Gulf. Enjoy a wine tasting here and take in the view. If you wish, from here you can stay on for dinner (at your own expense) and make your own way back to the ferry when you are ready or alternatively the guide will return you to the Waiheke Wharf in time to catch the 6pm ferry back to Auckland.
