Itinerary
Upon arriving from El Calafate, you glimpse an imposing structure that seems to emerge from the horizon. Its design, inspired by the majestic front of the glacier, welcomes a landscape dominated by the Patagonian steppe, a terrain that bears the traces of ancient glaciers.
An immersive journey through time and nature
The tour begins with a dark hallway, set by the relaxing sound of water drops that evoke the thaw. From the first moment, surprise is guaranteed. Modern audiovisual resources narrate the formation of ice and the stories of explorers and scientists who dedicated their lives to unraveling these frozen landscapes. Fascinating photographs by Argentine artists such as Florian Von der Flecht, Daniel Wagner and Andrés Bonetti capture the essence of this frozen world and transport the visitor to glaciological times and the origin of the universe.
Tribute to Argentine greatness
An impressive model of the Patagonian Ice Field reveals the birth of glaciers, while a well-deserved tribute to the visionary Francisco Pascasio Moreno inspires visitors with his passion for the beauty of Argentina. Among the must-see attractions is the amazing phenomenon of the Perito Moreno Glacier: a natural dam that culminates in the spectacular break that makes it unique in the world.
Impact and environmental awareness
The tour culminates in a multisensory tunnel that, through simultaneous projections, highlights the urgent reality of climate change and its impact on the planet. This message of awareness becomes a legacy that every visitor carries with them.
Spaces that captivate all the senses
Exhibition Room: A versatile space that offers photography and painting samples, ideal for events or to enjoy traveling exhibitions while you take a break.
Auditorium/Cinema 'Alberto M. De Agostini': Experience the emotion of the documentary 'La Voz del Glaciar', with shocking images of the 2016 breakup captured by drones. This space also hosts events, talks and festivals related to glaciology, nature and adventure.
Eco-shop: A corner to take a little piece of Patagonia. Here you will find ecological crafts, design objects and items made with recycled or natural materials, such as pure wool. A way to promote balance between man and nature.
Cafeteria: Relax with a cup of coffee while taking in the magnificent views of Lake Argentino and the vast steppe. Ideal for breakfast, lunch or snacks, with the possibility of booking for groups.
Glaciarium is not just an interpretation center, it is a sensory and emotional journey that connects the visitor with the majesty of the glaciers and the commitment to preserving our planet. Don't miss it!
