Places of interest
House of Jacinta and Francisco - The house where Jacinta and Francisco Marto lived.
House of Lucia de Jesus – where she lived until 1921.
Arneiro Well – the place where the Angel appeared to the three Shepherd Children in the summer of 1916, a year before the apparition of Our Lady.
Monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, made of bronze, emerges in the center of the sanctuary, in front of the Chapel of the Apparitions.
Chapel of the Apparitions, was built in the exact location where Our Lady appeared to the shepherd children where the holm oak once grew, and that is no longer there because it was taken piece-by-piece by the pilgrims who went to see it.
Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima, was built on the place where the shepherd children were playing on May 13th 1917 before the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima. The mortal remains of the three seers are buried on this site.
Church of the Most Holy Trinity, was designed by the architect Alexandros Tombazis, and was inaugurated on the 12th October 2007 to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the apparitions of the Virgin of the Rosary of Fatima.
Pilgrims on foot. All through the middle of the Sanctuary of Fatima, we find the path the pilgrims take on their knees to pay for their promises.
