Itinerary

Puerto Natales is located on the coast of Señoret channel between Almirante Montt Gulf and Última Esperanza Fjord. It is the capital of Última Esperanza province, baptized with that name by the navigator Juan Ladrillero.

Ultima Esperanza Sound was inhabited by aonikenk and kaweskar and it was discovered in 1557 by the navigator Juan Ladrillero in search of a route to the Strait of Magellan. By 1830, the expedition of the HMS Beagle explored the entire area that Ladrillero sailed three centuries ago. Some of these navigators were: Robert Fitzroy, William Skyring, James Kirke and naturalist Charles Darwin. By 1870, there was another important traveler who ventured in these desolated territories, he was Santiago Zamora who was known as the Baqueano Zamora. He is remembered for having discovered the lacustrine zone of Paine and large herds of wild animals.

During the journey, we will visit various monuments, streets and avenues Including the new waterfront as well as Braun Blanchard pier to conclude our tour in Arturo Prat main square.
